Josué Abraham

THE PERSON BEHIND THE QUESTIONS

Curiosity is the
common thread.

My life moves between industry and academia. The questions I ask in one place change what I build in the other.

Engineering, research and one shared curiosity.

COMPUTER SCIENCE / AI / DATA

Josué Abraham

I am Josué Abraham: a computer scientist, AI engineer, data scientist and software engineer. I am pursuing a PhD in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Granada and I am the founder of Notheris.

My research direction is hybrid artificial reasoning: exploring how symbolic systems based on knowledge can solve reasoning tasks complemented by large language models.

I'm driven by an appetite for knowledge and the possibility of doing something unexpected with it. Research, engineering and entrepreneurship give me different ways to follow that curiosity.

IN INDUSTRY

Give ideas a working form.

I contribute my experience to teams and technical decisions. Development and implementation projects are delivered through Notheris, the studio I founded and lead. My professional work includes projects for Meetroomies and Ok Latino.

IN ACADEMIA

Ask the next question.

My doctoral work focuses on knowledge and artificial reasoning, at the intersection of symbolic systems and LLMs.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

  1. May 2026 — present

    Self-employed

    AI Engineer · Independent Consultant

I design and integrate AI solutions, backend services and APIs around business needs.

    • I deliver projects end to end, from requirements and architecture to development and client communication.
    • I combine software engineering and data science to address business challenges.
  2. June 2025 — March 2026

    PwC Mexico

    Data Scientist · Senior Associate

Data science and data engineering consulting for Meta and The Coca-Cola Company.

    • For Meta, I developed a Python regression and statistical calibration model that cut user experience scenario comparison time by 80%, with reach across five countries and more than 170,000 users.
    • For The Coca-Cola Company, I worked on migrating and optimizing PySpark pipelines, resolving KPI redundancy and unifying global reports.
  3. August 2021 — September 2023

    PolyWorks Mexico

Software Developer · Data Scientist Specialist

Software and analytics development for internationally distributed teams.

    • I pioneered the company’s first virtual agent built with LLMs and RAG, reducing the support team’s workload by 40%.
    • I led an analytics suite adopted across more than 30,000 software licenses in over 100 countries, reducing analysis time by 60%.
  4. October 2019 — July 2021

    Universidad Iberoamericana · Puebla

    Lead Data Scientist

Data mining, predictive analytics and geospatial intelligence applied to business incubation projects.

    • I automated academic project evaluation with Python, reducing evaluation time by 90% and enabling three times as many projects to be reviewed annually.
    • I applied clustering and QGIS to identify incubation opportunities and guide new business partnerships.

HOW I THINK

  1. Stay curious.

Good work starts with a question I want to understand.

  2. Connect disciplines.

Some of the most interesting possibilities appear between established categories.

  3. Give ideas a form.

A model, an experiment, a system or a company: thinking can become something we can explore.
